About Hyunjin(Jin) Cho

I’m a Computer Science PhD student at the University of Iowa. I am advised by Dr. Rahul Singh as a member of the Biocomputing Research Lab. I am also closely working with Dr. Matthew Hoffman from the Department of Otolaryngology and Dr. Jeremy Greenlee from the Department of Neurosurgery.

Research Foci

My research interests lie at the intersection of computer science and biomedicine, with a particular focus on computational topology, cognitively assistive robots and brain connectivity. I aim to develop novel methods that can be applied to cancer drug discovery, voice therapy robots and the analysis of brain connectivity during voice pitch control. To advance this work, I have developed a suite of software tools designed to collect and analyze relevant biomedical data.

Personal Interests

On the side, I like to fiddle with personally captured underwater images/videos from my scuba diving trips.
